The owners, Hans and Iakovos, first visited the Mani in 1983 and immediately fell in love with the austere, majestic landscape, the purity of local architecture, and the 'language' of the stone. With the help of expert advice from architects and craftsmen, Hans and Iakovos have managed an extensive restoration of the 18th century tower. With great care and respect for tradition, and an unerring eye for detail, the result is a perfect harmony of original historic features with elegant modernity.
